Folks, what an unbelievable Event & DAY….! (I am still trying to ‘recover’.)
I was asked about three weeks ago if I could put a Group together and ‘pull this off’ as they were in a somewhat desperate situation.
Through extraordinary efforts from 82 of you,
we did it…!

And, not only did we succeed, we were voted the 2nd Best Aid Station in the entire Event….!!! UNREAL……
Eddie, Sam, Linda & Myself attended the Volunteer Recognition Banquet @ the Galt House Monday night. I was shocked (& in tears) when they announced our Group and I was called up to the stage to receive the recognition and a nice Plague in front of hundreds of Volunteers who attended the Banquet.

I am literally speechless with what we accomplished – teamwork, dedication, excitement, enthusiasm & countless hours of hard work. We finally left Sunday night @ 12:45 AM with 3rd Street looking pretty much like we found it @ 10am. With the ‘runners’ coming by our Aid Station 4 times, that means we serviced over 10,000 runners over a 12 hour period of time. The Last Runner (middle aged Male) came by @ 12:15. He was all alone and even though he won’t get credit for completing the Race, was bound and determined to cross the Finish Line (17 hours later & 141 Miles of swimming, biking & running). Just another example of an extraordinary effort…!
I am so PROUD & Thankful of each and every one of you folks…. I couldn’t be more proud…! It was absolutely Awesome….!!
IRONMAN – 2011 – We will be there….!
Thanks again
